NOMINATING COMMITTEE
The Committee will meet at 6:30pm on Thursday, September 9, to begin work on the selection of officers for 2011.

NEXT SUNDAY IS CHRISTIAN EDUCATION SUNDAY
Teachers will be recognized and children entering Grade 3 will receive Bibles during the worship service.
WEST END HYMN SING
The Hymn Sing will be held at the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren at 7pm on Sunday, September 12.
CHIT CHAT DEADLINE
Articles for the October/November issue should be turned in to the church office by Wednesday, September 15.
SECRET PALS

FINANCE COMMITTEE TO MEET
The Finance Committee will meet at 6:30pm on Tuesday, September 21. VOLUNTEER TO SERVE
Each year at Church Conference we are required to elect officers and committee members to oversee the work and mission of our local church. In with the bulletin, you will find a list of the responsibilities associated with these offices and committees. Please read over the list and prayerfully consider volunteering to serve Calvary Church in one of the areas where you feel you are particularly gifted. We do need you. Feel free to contact the church office if you would like to volunteer, or if you need additional information about a particular committee or position.
CHURCH DIRECTORY
We will be compiling a church family pictorial directory with LifeTouch this Fall. You will be able to sign up online at calvaryumcjtown.org or before and after worship services, September 19 through October 17. Pictures will be taken the weekend of October 20-23. Watch future bulletins for more
information.
FOOD PANTRY
We are collecting food that kids like to eat – canned pastas such as Spaghettios, ravioli, spaghetti and meatballs; also, canned and boxed macaroni and cheese meals.
